Book Or Move

When I saw the movie of gangster granny I really liked it because it was not too long or to fast and funny but the book took too long to read and it was a bit different then the move it was funny too. So I really think that the movie is more better than the book.

Why You Should Spend Less on Christmas

Did you know that at Christmas people in America spend $450 billion on Christmas each year?!
We could, as a world,  be spending $10 billion for clean water for the world or  $30 billion to end world hunger, but instead people don't and are world gets filled up with more garbage. (America produces 5 million tonnes of Christmas waste each year.) We should have more time with our family and friends and celebrate Jesus birth rather than spend money on things we don't need.

EOTC Week

This week we did E.O.T.C Week and on Monday we did was mini  master chef and first aid Training. That day I liked the mini master chef because we got to make smooths they were so good and are own food and I felt like a cook.

 On Tuesday we did Team building at Orana park and rock claiming at the Rec Centre and I got to the top like spider man.



On Wednesday we got to do Abseiling and clay art and my dad got to come it was so cool and at art I made a swamp dragon and it was gigantic.

On Thursday we got to do swimming survival skill's and then we got subway it was yam. Then we went to stempank and made are own sculptures but we had to brake them no!!!!!  I loved E.O.T.C week and it was the bast week ever.

St Mary

St Mary was the mother of Jesus and the first saint in the world. Mary go up to heaven in her human form just like Jesus. Mary is all our mum in heaven did you know that? When Mary appeared to people she had a white and blue gown and had roses on her feet and was holding the rosary.

Ben is a boring and lame boy but then he  found out that his granny was a international jewel thief! He got into action and they went on a great adventure.

African Art

Today we did African art. to do the art we needed a vivid, pastel, pencil, scissors  and a sack. It needed to be big and colorful. This is the art I did and we all made a pattern on the clothes.                                         The art took a bit of time to do it and we watched videos of African art to help us do the art.

Character Description

Timmy Failure Timmy Failure is a boy that has a big imagination and he is really cheeky. He has a polar bear for a pet and he lives in a apartment in a giant building. He says he is a detective and he is so funny.

 

                              

Cross Country

 We are at the starting line and we are off!! We ran up the hill and down and through the gates and down to the hill. Then I run down to the second gate and jump over it and I carry on with the race. I am so close to the end and all I have to do is run in a line but I am so tired. I run just a little bit more to cross the finish line and I make it! I feel so hot tired and my legs are so sore I want to fall on the ground.  I came 10th and bet two people I'm so happy.

Stephen

Stephen was the first martyr and he was a Hellenist Jew. He was one of the 7 people who helped the apostles.  when he died the people feed him to the dogs on a foothill of the city for two days but the apostle Paul and the apostle Barnabas came and moved the body to his own land. I think that Stephen is a good person because he died for god.    


                                                                      

Science Investigation

We were investigating the viscosity in an oobleck mixture and we found out that adding more cornflour made a higher viscosity than the rest of the mixtures.

We did 4 trials: To 1 cup of cornflour we added:

                                     1) milk instead of water
                                     2) salt added
                                     3) soap added
                                     4) added 1 more cup of cornflour
     
We found the trial with the added cornflour created the highest viscosity.

Early Christianity

 Early Christianity was a lot about Christians being persecuted and if they said they believed in Jesus as the Son of God they would be killed with stones or fed to the lions. They didn't worry about being killed because they just wanted to believe in God's promises.                            

                                   

Spaghetti- our New Rat

 Spaghetti  is the new class rat. He is brown, little and speedy AND LOVES BANANA!!!. Our teacher got him on Saturday and Spaghetti is so happy to see are school. We got Spaghetti because Eddy's brother Freddy died. Spaghetti is a cool and happy rat and me and my class love him.

Pentecost is a Christian festival celebrating the descent of the holey spirit on the disciples of Jesus. after he rose from the DEAD held on the seventh Sunday after Easter.

       

A Day in the Life of a Teacher!

There I was, just sitting there, but then the drama began.

Quick Write Term One Week Eight

One day in the tiny town of Oamaru,  two giant monsters came to attack the people and eat them! The people ran away from them like cheetahs chasing after hares. The monsters were as fluffy as clouds and had two long ears. The white one had eyes as red as fire! The brown one had eyes as dark as night. They hopped about, crushing cars, people and buildings like they were little toys. Oh, wait, they are!

                                                                           

Jesus Term One Week Seven

  Jesus was fully human because he could breathe and eat and do anything a human does. Jesus is  fully God because he can perform miracles, like when he healed a blind man and when he fed the 5,000 with only two fish and five loaves of bread. Jesus came to show us to love one another and to teach us about God.

WORLD VISION

World Vision is an organisation that helps people in need. World vision is a Christian organisation. It helps people all around the world.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

World Vision helps people where there are needs like a famine (no food), or natural disasters (like floods or earthquakes).

They give jobs to local people. They set up schools, jobs, farming, and health care  (doctors).

In 2013, 66,000 children got sponsored by New Zealanders.

world vision helps a lot of people in the world so I think mere people sod be sponsored in the world.

The box. The door. The crumbling brick. It begged me to enter the door. So I looked for the I door knob and all I saw was  darkness. But then I saw two eyes and a voice said,  "Open the box boy!" So I did and in it there was a little key and the two eyes said, "Open the door boy!" So I did....

 

 

MIXED UP FAIRY TALE TERM ONE

Once upon a time there were three big evil pigs and the mum kicked  the three big evil pigs out.
The wolf said, "Yay! Now I’m going to get them three little houses."
The pigs laughed, "Ha ha ha!" The wolf said, "Aaaaaahhhh!" because he  found out they were evil.
He went into the straw house and the pigs blew the house down but the wolf was gone. The pigs saw him run to the next house but the pigs blew it down. Then the wolf ran away to the last house. The pigs said that the house is too tough, go down the chimney. But the wolf threw some TNT at the pigs and  Boom!!! The pigs blew up and they did not live happily ever after.

PERSONAL WRITING TERM ONE

On Christmas day Mum got us a puppy named Bella and a cricket set. But before that, me, Dad, Jacob, Chloe and Payton watched some movies while Mum was in bed. We had a sleepover before all of this. Bella ripped some of the present wrapping. When Jacob opened his present, he went crazy. We had so much fun.

MY FIRST TWO WEEKS IN THE SENIOR HUB

My first two weeks in the Hub have been exciting and my highlights are having a new teacher and being upstairs. My challenge has been the technology and I am looking forward to EOTC later in the year. In the first week I felt nervous and happy.
